Welcome to the Romsey School Transition pages
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you and your child to the school. As the Assistant Headteacher for Student Support I oversee the transition of students from Year 6 into Year 7 alongside the Year 7 Student Support Team. The make up of this team will be confirmed at the start of the Summer Term.
As you will be aware, places have now been allocated for admission in September 2024 and this site will continue to evolve over the rest of this academic year with information and resources to support the transition of students from Primary to Secondary School. At this stage, if you have any queries regarding the transition please check out FAQs page which can be found here.
We look forward to meeting our new parents and pupils soon and beginning their secondary school journey!
The Year 7 Student Support Team
Welcome to The Romsey School. My Name is Mr Snape and I will be our child’s Progress Leader during their time at the Romsey School. My Role is to oversee the year group, support the wonderful team of tutors and ensure every child is making progress. As mentioned during the Welcome to Romsey event, I ask every pupil to set themselves aspirational goals, and strive to reach these. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce Mrs Willcocks, our Assistant Progress Leader. Mrs Willcocks is an experienced member of the Pastoral team and will support me in the running of our year group during their time here at Romsey. Please Remember to complete the parental questionnaire. I look forward to working alongside you over the next couple of months and years as your child develops and thrives during their time here at Romsey.
