The SEND department at The Romsey School is made up of 3 distinct areas (click the department name for more details):
The Learning Support department offers in class support (when required) and therapeutic intervention and emotional support to children on Wave 3 of the SEND register. The department also offers intervention, support and guidance to children on Wave 1 & 2 through the Progress Leaders, tutors and teachers.

The ASD Resource, or The Base, is a Hampshire County Council provision at The Romsey School. All students within The Base are Wave 3 and are fully integrated into the mainstream school with specialist support, if and when required.

The NEST (Nurture & Emotional Support Team)
The NEST supports children from across the school. The NEST has 3 curriculum pathways that support children in accessing appropriate education. The NEST, unlike Learning Support and The Base, is a short term provision to re-engage with or support access to the mainstream school.
