Year 10 - Careers
In Year 10 we normally set aside a week off timetable where the emphasis is placed on preparation for the World of Work and Post-16 choices as all pupils take part in two days of intensive "Careers Input" and an Enterprise Project. The first two days of this series includes workshops on Understanding Post-16 Options, Writing a Personal Statement, Interview Skills and the opportunity to have a Mock Interview. Pupils are also able to attend one of several advanced level classes to give them an opportunity to experience the change of pace and the choice of attending at least four from 40 different workshops delivered by Colleges, Training Organisations and a range of Career themed speakers.
Further details are available of our CIEAG page.
This year our pupils were not in school at this critical time but will be supported in all these areas when they return in September.
Until then please make use of information which will be added and updated regularly to give pupils an insight into planning their futures and next steps at the end of Year 11.
